Pre-Audit Review
- Liaison with a designated company representative to understand business operations, workforce structure, and health and safety priorities
- Review of any pre-submitted policies, risk assessments, and site-specific concerns
On-Site Audit
Evaluation of the following (where applicable):
- Up to 1 hour of telephone or email follow-up to clarify report content or action points.
Documentation Review
Examination of the following documentation (where applicable):
- Health & Safety Policy
- Risk Assessments (tasks/equipment/machinery)
- COSHH assessments and safety data sheets
- Fire Risk Assessments and Logbook
- Training records
- Forklift Truck certification
- Food safety and hygiene certification
- Accident records and reporting history
- Review of any enforcement history (e.g. HSE letters or improvement notices) if supplied
Audit Report
Delivery of a written audit report including:
- Executive summary
- Key risk findings categorised by severity (high/medium/low)
- Legal breaches (if identified)
- Practical recommendations with timescale
- Report to be issued within 10 working days of the audit date
In addition, the following reports will be conducted and delivered in writing, unless an adequate version currently exists onsite and has been signed by a competent person, or has been provided by a third-party:
- Fire risk assessment
- General site risk assessment
- Specific task/tools/equipment risk assessment
